246 on the four planes.

1992 civilians in New York City in the towers and on the ground.

125 at the Pentagon, 55 of which were Military personnel.

At least 200 people jumped to their deaths from the burning towers.

A total of 411 emergency workers who responded to the scene died as they attempted to implement rescue and fire suppression efforts. The New York City Fire Department (FDNY) lost 341 firefighters and 2 FDNY paramedics. The New York City Police Department lost 23 officers. The Port Authority Police Department lost 37 officers.Private EMS units lost 8 additional EMTs and paramedics.

I wanted to write a blog to remember that day 7 years ago, but I didn't want to remember the attacks or the politics surrounding them. Nor did I want to go on about where I was at the time, or how I felt, because I'm pretty insignificant in the matter.

I think it's most important to just remember the people. The innocent victims, their families and friends, the brave souls on flight 93, and all of the courageous men and women who did what they could, some giving their lives, to rescue the people left in the towers. May God Bless them all.

I will never forget. Will you?
